This week is a little light, but there are a good mix of artists coming through the city (and one notable appearance in West Vancouver ). Here are some picks for this week, if you can still get tickets.
The PNE Forum plays host to The 1975 on Monday night. The Manchester based quartet, recently got awards for Best Live Act and Best British Band in the UK.
Maybe enjoy a night at home – not much happening
If country music gets you moving, then head out to Abbotsford. Thomas Rhett and Brett Young will be performing at the Sports Centre on Wednesday evening.
In Vancouver, the Me First and the Gimme Gimmes will bring various covers to the Commodore with Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey birds (my favourite band name of the week).
For something a little more classic, check out Ute Lemper at the Orpheum on Thursday. Ute will be bringing her Last Tango in Berlin show to the city.
Blues and Slide guitarist Martin Harley will be at the Fox Cabaret. This is start of a short tour of the west of Canada, and not to be missed.
Canadian Irish punks The Mahones are at the Rickshaw Theatre on Saturday night.
Carrying the Celtic theme further into the weekend, Flogging Molly will be at the at the Commodore to round out the week.
