Los Angeles three-piece Nightmare Air opened for Gary Numan at the Vogue Theatre, Vancouver on Monday night. The band were touring their second studio album “Fade Out” and gave the Vancouver audience the opportunity to hear several tracks including Way We Fall, Who’s your Lover and Sweet Arrows amongst others.
Guitarist Dave Dupuis, Bassist Swaan Miller, and Jimmy Lucido are a tight unit, and seemed to have a lot of fun on stage, with Dave riffing with the audience, apologising in advance for swearing in case there were any ‘young’uns in the audience. It was all good natured, and after a long tour the band seemed happy to back on the west coast, if not quite far enough south to be home.
Both this set and Numan’s to follow were heavy on strobes which made for some interesting challenges shooting the show, but we still managed to get interesting shots from the show.
