MOTHER MOTHER “O MY HEART” 10TH ANNIVERSARY – WITH GUESTS LITTLE DESTROYER

May 31 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Mother Mother, one of the featured acts of the SKOOKUM Music Festival have scheduled a special intimate performance in Vancouver to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the highly acclaimed album “O My Heart”, as part of SKOOKUM After Dark Presents.

The Juno nominated Vancouver based-band has announced a series of seven nostalgic and intimate live dates in select markets across Canada, where they invite fans to experience all the tracks on O My Heart from front to back, with new energy and enthusiasm. Tickets will go on sale Monday, May 28 at 10am through www.skookumfestival.com.

The original version of O My Heart arrived on September 23, 2008, and quickly became an indie-rock fan favourite. Since its release, the album has amassed almost 6 million global streams. Frontman Ryan Guldemond shares, “Every band that’s been around a while has its classic album, and O My Heart is ours. We owe it a lot, as it paved the way for so much to come. But mostly we owe it to the fans for digging the music and giving us a reason to carry on. This anniversary is a celebration of them, much more than it’s a celebration of us. We’re just delighted to host the party.”

Mother Mother has had ten Top 10 alternative pop singles to date. Their most recent album, No Culture, debuted at #1 for alternative, #2 overall, and is nearing 10M streams on Spotify. The album also includes the band’s first #1 single at alt radio, “The Drugs”, as well as hits “Love Stuck” and “Baby Boy”. No Culture’s success paved the way for a sold-out coast-to-coast tour, including a record-setting five sold out shows at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, and a sold-out show at Toronto’s historic Massey Hall. The Vancouver-based band includes Ryan Guldemond on guitar and vocals, Molly Guldemond on vocals and keyboards, Jasmin Parkin on keyboards and vocals, Ali Siadat on drums and percussion, and Mike Young on bass.

Mother Mother is one of the featured acts that will be performing at SKOOKUM and part of the Sunday, September 9 bill that closes out the three-day event.
