Slowdive’s latest album, Slowdive is out now, and to celebrate the release the band are headed out on a North American Tour. And where is the beats place to start a tour, Vancouver of course.
Slowdive originate from Reading, UK late in 1989, and quickly got labelled a “shoegazing” band based on their use of abrasive guitars and ethereal vocals, following a trend by My Bloody Valentine.
This album is the first from the outfit in 22 years, following a long hiatus during which the members were involved in other endeavours. The reformed in 2014, and have been touring successfully since then.
The band will be in town at the Commodore Ballroom on October 23rd.
