VICTORIA ROCK ‘N’ ROLLERS LIAM MACKENZIE & THE MOONDOGS ANNOUNCE NEW EP

Today, the Victoria-based groove-heavy rock ‘n’ roll outfit LIAM MACKENZIE & THE MOONDOGS announce the release of their second EP, titled Once Again, Here’s… due out this spring.

Having opened for the likes of Big Sugar, John Fogarty, Wide Mouth Mason and Keb’Mo in 2022, the band is gearing up for an exciting rock-your-socks off 2023! Comprised of past and current members of Jets Overhead, Leeroy Stagger and the Jesse Roper Band, they take cues from the heartland to the American South. Mixing country, roots and blue-eyed soul, fans can listen to the latest single “The Mountain” today on Spotify HERE!

About the trials and tribulations of what it’s like to be a musician in today’s complex musical landscape, “The Mountain”, has already seen impressive success being featured as 91.3 The Zone’s Band of the Month, and later securing regular rotation. It was mixed by Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, Sam Roberts Band, AC/DC, Metallica) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (YES, Faith No More, Sepultura). This single is the first to be released from the group’s upcoming EP. Listen HERE!

Once Again, Here’s… consists of four tracks in total with three singles “Circle On The Sun,” “Hazy Jane” and “Kentucky” being mixed at The Hive by Colin Stewart (Art D’ecco, Dan Mangan, Bedouin Soundclash) and masted in Toronto by Joao Carvalho (The Smashing Pumpkins, Alt J, Protest The Hero). The full EP was recorded between The Hive and Silverside Sound studios on Vancouver Island. More info on the release to come!

Prior to 2022, the group rocked star-studded stages across Canada and into the US with acts such as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Thee Oh See’s and Mudhoney to name a few! They received coverage from 100.3 The Q on Vancouver Island, Rocktographers and more!
